WHEN THE ROLL IS CALLED UP YONDER - Take Mine With It!

Have you ever struggled with dieting? Has your weight done the yo-yo thing? Did you ever wish that The Lord would just take your roll away? You know the roll I mean... that place between your shoulders and knees where you flat stomach used to be. If God really cares whether or not we are overweight, why doesnt He deliver us?

Drug addicts, abusers, smokers and alcoholics are all delivered. Sometimes people are delivered from their sins, however, and sometimes they are delivered thru their discipline of overcoming them. We all wanted God to take our rolls away. Bu what we really needed is to lose it! God gave us limit to our food intake, so that our bodies could function well at its best level. Like drivers who fill up their tanks with too much fuel, we forget that we must pay for what we dont use. It was never God's intention fo our stomachs to go south or for our "cabooses" to be bigger than our engines.

If you put one tiny square of Chocolate in your mouth, it tastes exactly the same as you put a handful down the hatch. Learn to take smaller bites and savor the flavor. Children are hungry every few hours. As they grow, they are trained to eat three square meals a day. Our body use what we need and store the rest. If you listen to your body, it will tell you when to eat and how much to eat. Eat slowly and enjoy the people you are with. Just going to church on Sunday to get quick fix will not produce the desire result of spiritual growth, neither will exercising whenever we feel like it make us the lean mean fihting machine we want to be. Change produces change, and we can change what isnt working for us.

UNDERSTANDING why we OVEREAT might help us avoid plunging face first into the three scoops, but what do we do about those times when the struggles are spiritual or emotional in nature? Those are times when we want to bite the heads off those dear little Oreo and drowns it in the milk. At those times, we need to focus on the real issues, call upon The Lord an trust Him to show us what to do. He promises us help, guidance and His very presence.

We can live life to its fullest, while we wait fo the roll to be called up yonder!
